After looking through user feedback, I noticed the same complaints coming up over and over again.

They simply mean it's more selective and less predictable than a traditional remote job.
If you're expecting guaranteed work and regular hours, you'll probably be disappointed.
If you understand that it's project-based work with changing demand, the experience makes a lot more sense.
