Is DataAnnotation.tech Legit or Fake?
This was the first thing I wanted to find out before creating an account.
From what I saw, it's a legitimate platform.
People do get accepted, complete AI training tasks, and receive payments for approved work. There are thousands of workers who use it as a side income, and there are plenty of reports confirming that the platform pays.
So in that sense, it's not fake.
Where things get confusing is the experience after you apply.
A lot of people assume that signing up means they'll start working right away.
In reality, you first have to pass an assessment, and not everyone gets accepted. Even if you do, the amount of work available can change over time.
From what I saw, that's where most of the complaints come from.
Some people never hear back after applying. Others get accepted but later find there aren't enough projects to work on consistently.
There are also users who say their accounts were closed without much explanation.
That doesn't make the platform fake.
It means it's selective, project-based, and not a guaranteed source of income.
From my perspective, the biggest mistake is expecting it to work like a normal remote job.
It doesn't.
You're applying to become an independent contractor, and the amount of work depends on the projects available and how well you perform.
So the answer is simple.
Fake? No. Legit? Yes. Guaranteed work? Definitely not.
